Barone appeared in the fourth-season Seinfeld episode The Shoes as Gail Cunningham an executive chef, who was looking for Elaine Benes shoes. Barone was one of the cast members on Carol & Company, starring alongside Carol Burnett in the early 90s. Barone Also, she played the role of Carol Willick Ross Geller's wife in Friends' premiere episode. She left the show as she wanted to pursue a more full-time role she was substituted by Jane Sibbett.
